Brands like BMW are fueled by passion, and enthusiasts always demand more. That's why the Bavarian manufacturer is introducing a new special edition of the BMW 4 Series in its Gran Coupe variation for 2024.
It's worth noting that the Gran Coupe version has been absent from the 4 Series lineup since the arrival of the i4, which is essentially an electric version of the model. However, BMW has decided to offer a special gasoline edition of the 4 Series Gran Coupe. This is the M440i xDrive Legacy Edition, with production limited to only 300 units. Collectors will be delighted to learn that this special edition is exclusive to the Canadian market, starting at a price of $81,750.
To make things even more enticing, the BMW M440i xDrive Legacy Edition is available in six combinations of exterior and interior colors. Each combination is also limited to a certain number of units.
- Sapphire Black with Vernasca black leather interior (75 units)
- Brooklyn Gray with Tacora Red Vernasca leather interior (75 units)
- Mineral White with Vernasca black leather interior (75 units)
- Purple Blue with Ivory White Merino leather interior (25 units)
- Aurora Diamond Green with Tartufo Brown Merino leather interior (25 units)
- Imola Red with Black Merino leather interior (25 units)
Impressive Performance
Even though it's not a full-fledged M series car, the 2024 BMW M440i xDrive Legacy Edition remains impressive in terms of mechanics. The Bavarian manufacturer's sedan is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-6 engine that delivers 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. This enables the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 in less than 4.5 seconds. Unfortunately, the top speed is limited to 250 km/h. Additionally, this special edition benefits from the M Sport Pro package and comes with standard adaptive M suspension.
As if that weren't enough, 75 units will be equipped with the M Performance exhaust, which raises the price to $89,750. The first units are expected to arrive in dealerships as early as January 2024.
